With a large range of imported products, Pomona thrives on its reassuringly expensive brand.

Long check-out queues are not common in Pomona – nor will you have the burden of zig-zagging your way through parked trolleys when wandering the isles; if indeed Pomona offers anything more than a basket.

That said, Pomona’s luxury status is mostly an illusion. Many basic items like bread and milk cost the same as any other supermarket in Medellín. In other words, stick to your shopping list and don’t be tempted by those imported French cheeses or sun dried tomatoes without checking the prices first.
