Parque los Tamarindos is a water park that boasts several large swimming pools of different shapes, sizes and depths, an artificial river with inflatable rings and a range of waterslides.
The fastest waterslide is so fast that rather than emerging directly into a swimming pool – you exit the slide into some kind of giant roulette wheel – whizzing around until your velocity drops enough for you to descend towards the hole in the middle and plop out into the pool.
Despite the emphasis on recreational facilities, Parque los Tamarindos is relatively calm not least because of its stunning backdrop of emerald coloured mountains that glisten in the sunshine.
