Museo de Arte Moderno in Medellín (El MAMM) exhibits cutting edge artwork free of charge.

El MAMM is located in the Talleres Robledo building – part of an old steel factory – now refurbished into a beautiful art warehouse as part of the Ciudad del Rio project.

But, what is art? El MAMM does not confine itself to canvas and paint, but instead openly embraces architecture, design and cinema to good effect with new exhibitions every 3 months.

Most of those exhibitions focus on up and coming Colombian artists or established homegrown talent such as Debora Arango and Hernando Tejada.

El MAMM is keen to recognise the health benefits of consuming art and so if you live in strata 3 or lower, are disabled, a student, older than 60 or younger than 12; you can enter free of charge.
